Dolce Vita was built by Lallow in 1965, she was totally rebuilt in 2018/9 and first reused during the first release period  from Covid in 2020. Since then she has been regularly raced from May to October in the Lymington Wednesday series and the annual XOD week. She is moored at Lymington.

The restoration included : new stainless steel keel bolts, hull stripped externally, sheathed in Epoxy and then spray coat topcoat in white. The decks were replaced in tongue and groove pine, sheathed with epoxy and then painted with non slip deck paint.

The coamings replaced in mahogany as were the internal thwarts (seats) with the exception of the helmsman’s benches which were retained as part of the Lallow heritage. New floor boards in Iroko.

Sails are from Sanders, main and jib new in 2023 and new spinnaker for 2026. There is also a lightweight spinnaker about 2023. All the sails are in very good condition, washed and serviced every winter by Sanders

The running rigging is a constant upgrade and replacement but all is since 2023.

Sailing pattern – ideally looking for a co-owner who will sail on a regular basis with the other two owners. Experience is not required but enthusiasm is. Currently sailing on Wednesdays but could sail either Saturday afternoon or Thursday evening.

Co-owners have full rights to sail in any or all of the other races with or without the other owners present.

Running costs are about £1000 which covers moorings, winter storage, insurance, annual refit and some replacements and allows for a new main and jib every 3 – 4 years.
